The new TMN Series power system front ends from Unipower provide up to 3,000 watts at 24, 28 or 48VDC for distributed power systems

The power system consists of up to three 1,000 watt hot-swap modules in a 2U (88mm high) rack mounting chassis. The unit can be operated as either a 3,000 watt non-redundant or 2,000 watt redundant power system. An optional 3U (132mm high) rack holds up to five hot-swap modules in a vertical configuration and provides up to 5,000 watts output.

The TMN Series modules feature output voltage adjustment over a +/-10% range, 5.5 watts per cubic inch power density, integral output isolation diode, two cooling fans and a high reliability, hot plug connector.

They have input power factor correction to 0.99 and meet EN61000-3-2, and have a Class A or B EMI input filter available.

Single wire active current sharing between the modules equalizes output current from each.

Other features include AC and DC power good LEDs and an output voltage adjustment potentiometer on the front panel.

Control and monitoring signals include AC power good, DC power good, current monitor, remote output adjust, remote enable, module present, and remote sensing.

The modules also have zero minimum load requirement, constant power-limiting overload protection and an independent 5V, 100mA auxiliary output for powering external control circuits.
